It was a waste of money for me. I would of liked to have been able to listen to each song before I bought this particular cd. Ray Charles has so many other great hits that should be on this cd collection, considering the name of it. There are only about 3 or 4 songs in this whole collection that I really like. I think the title of this cd is misleading.
This collection has all my favorites and is great listening. Great CD. I had seen the Ray Charles movie with Jamie Fox and I wanted to hear the music again.
you need to get it, the frist cd is the best the number two cd is ok but you must get this.
This set covers the ABC years as well, so Rhino probably had to shell out some big bucks to license those tracks. It may be pricey, but you get a 50-page booklet, two individual jewel cases and an attractive slipcase. I'm glad they included "Mess Around", one of Ray's earliest hits, but I would've like to have seen 1993's "A Song For You" here as well. Other than Genius & Soul: The 50th Anniversary Collection 5-disc boxed set, "Ultimate Hits Collection" is easily the best Ray Charles compilation on the market. Its 36 tracks cover the years 1953-1989.
Other CD have a variation of songs, but if you want one with all hits, this is the one for you. It's a great collection of all the hits. "Great CD. Would highly recommend.
